Forgiveness – A Spiritual Journey

We are all walking on a spiritual path. We are constantly learning to relate to the world around us and searching within ourselves, enhancing the feelings that work for us, and removing the ones that don’t. As we walk along this metaphorical pathway, there are many twists and turns, forks in the road, and decisions to make. Sometimes these result in a feeling of happiness, and become a cherished memory, while others may bring about feelings like anger, hatred, and regret.

Both the good and the bad feelings shape the way that we make decisions going forward, and if we allow the bad feelings overwhelm our good feelings, we will often make decisions that just lead to even more anger and regret.

Forgiveness is a way to get past the harsh feelings, set them aside, so that your future decisions are not colored by the past situations that don’t serve to bring you happiness.

Make no mistake; this is not easy. Forgiveness is a skill. It takes lessons, and most of all, practice. You cannot read a book and be a master forgiver. Like learning to play a musical instrument, you have to spend the time and energy to practice and learn the steps, use the steps, and make them a part of your daily life.

It is a journey, and you will get nowhere unless you keep taking the steps forward.

He got his gift of intuition from his father, who trained him to use it. His mother gave him empathy, and the abilities to feel. Coming from a science background, he has learned to mingle logic with spiritualism.
